As my mom likes to say, I “came out of the womb singing,” cue the home video of my performance of Hit Me Baby One More Time. I was born in the northern New Jersey suburbs and saw my first Broadway show at 4 years old, where I instantly fell in love with the stage. My family relocated to the suburbs of Chicago and I’ve been a proud Chicago girl ever since (with a piece of my heart still in Jersey, of course).

Before performing full-time, I juggled both theatre and sports. While I thrived on a busy schedule, I pulled a Troy Bolton and left my high school basketball team to be in the musical and it's been full steam ahead ever since!

I received my B.M.A. in Lyric Theatre* from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (I-L-L!). At UIUC, I performed in several mainstage shows, competitions, and masterclasses all while serving as the Lyric Theatre program’s head student ambassador for incoming and current freshman, as well as the Vice President of Illini Student Musicals.

Alongside my love for performing, I have an insatiable desire to help others. I have a passion for working with people with disabilities and have found such joy connecting through music. Storytelling bridges our diverse world regardless of how we think, feel, live, etc. I strive to be an artist who creates a space for everyone and joins our paths together through empathy and compassion.

Outside of performing you can find me enjoying everything outdoorsy, working on my latest crochet project, reading a new mystery novel or creating chaos with the people that I love!
*Lyric Theatre is a program that trains artists in both musical theatre and opera, fostering a comprehensive understanding of music making and story telling

Lucy Economos stood out as Medium Alison, as she shifted from an awkward college freshman on the verge of discovering who she really is yet still seeking her father’s approval, to a woman ready to shout from the rooftops about finally making that realization, to a daughter coming to terms with the knowledge that her family has never been what she thought it was. Economos’ endearing mix of self-consciousness and utter joy as she sings “Changing my Major” about Alison's first sexual encounter was made that much better by her powerful voice.
